EKTA displays in the Guinness Book

19.07.2011

A new record for the “Largest LED 3D TV” was made in the Guinness World Record Book. This record states a diagonal of 7,11 meters which is a world’s record (http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/records-10000/largest-led-3d-tv).  This huge 3D TV has been installed in the Tr?dg?r'n club hall in Gothenburg (Sweden). More than 400 people watched the 3D broadcast of the final UEFA Champions League match from London’s “Wembley” stadium. Thanks to the record size of the screen and the new EKTA 3D effect technology the feeling of actually being at the stadium, sitting in the bleachers,  or on the field next to the judges and players was created.

The live 3D broadcast was provided by the Swedish company Viasat. VIDEOFORCE company and EKTA’s rental unit had implemented the work.  Hans Skarpl?th Viasat General Manager said: “It was not easy to decide to use LED 3D screen. However, the result exceeded all our expectations. We had a unique experience and gained global recognition!”.

3D LED screens have become quite a trend and have quickly entered all areas of entertainment: clubs and discos, shows, concerts, fan zones and bars, museums and amusement parks. Very soon no entertainment or major public event can be imagined without a large LED 3D screen. EKTA 3D technology has become a driving engine in the entertainment industry.

Igor Pastukh, EKTA General Manager, said that right now a number of sports fan zones, clubs and museums in several European cities have been built with plans to use the big 3D EKTA screens. The dimensions of the new screens perhaps will even beat the existing world record.

Large LED 3D TVs are designed and produced by the Ukrainian company EKTA. EKTA 3D technology was developed by its engineers in 2010. In early 2011 this domestic technology has been presented at Amsterdam and Frankfurt exhibitions, and in May a mass production of large LED 3D screens began.
